Several of our boats will be sailing from HHYC to NYC on Friday, Aug 5and returning on Sunday, Aug 7th. Seeing NYC from the water is a magical experience.
Please join us if you can. There are 2 legs to this trip. The first leg is Friday, Aug 5 at 10:00 AM at the HHYC dock, stopping at City Island for temporary mooring for own brown bag lunch. Then we proceed through Hell Gate (timing the current is critical), around the tip of Manhattan and up the Hudson to Chelsea Piers. Your host boat may decide to sail around NY harbor for a bit or head to Chelsea Piers. Either way, we should tie up around 5 PM. After we dock, you can visit the High Line, tour the galleries or shops and then have dinner in the area. I will be making the reservation for dinner so I will need a head count. After dinner (or before dinner, if you have other commitments), some of us will cab over to Grand Central for the train home.
